about l.a. Eyeworks
The l.a. Eyeworks extraordinary print ads were born when the company was a single store on Melrose Avenue in 1981. From the moment the first ad appeared in the pages of Interview magazine, l.a. Eyeworks rocketed to international attention in the years since, the now classic campaign has featured campy (Yma Sumac, the Incan Songbird!), cerebrai (Lynda Weinman, Web Graphics Designer extraordinaire) sometimes left field (Mike Piazza, Baseball superstar), but most often impressive (Sharon Stone, Pierce Brosnan.) The campaign has been recognized with prestigious advertising awards including exhibitions in museums internationally.
The celebration of great faces is an incredible partnership between l.a. Eyeworks and photographer Greg Gorman. Mr. Gorman is world renowned for his portraiture and his third book, Inside Life, features many faces from l.a. Eyeworks photo sessions.
